Our back cover moves two thousand miles west and ten years forward to Bournemouth 1979. The photo is part of Kevin Pitt’s collection of old, scanned images, which are a fantastic document of an English family's life through the decades, and I thought I would share some of my favourites below.

Although we didn’t end up using an image from it, I also wanted to highlight Amanda Hedden’s excellent Ferrous Archive, a collection of vintage photography that focuses on the type of early colour images that we were searching for.
